Columbus State University Frank D. Brown Book Scholarship

The Columbus State University Staff Council continues to encourage and support the educational development of all University personnel. Recognizing that the pursuit of education is a life-long process, three (3) Staff Council Book Scholarships are offered each year to all qualified personnel.

The Book Scholarship stipend, in the amount of $300.00 annually, is awarded in $150.00 increments for two semesters of choice by the recipients. If you are interested and meet the following requirements, please complete the application form.

  • You are a permanent, benefits eligible employee of Columbus State University
  • You have completed at least two (2) semesters of course work at an accredited institution
  • You have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5

Criteria for awarding scholarships will be based on a written essay (250 words or less) describing why the applicant should receive the scholarship based on financial need, school goals, and your GPA.

The deadline for all applications, essays, and current transcripts is July 31, 2008 and should be submitted via campus mail to Lacey Allmond, University Hall.
