An important aspect of Phi Mu is our philanthropy. In our creed, we pledge, "To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand," and "To minister to the needy and unfortunate." Phi Mu has two National Philanthrpy's; Children's Miracle Network (CMN), which is associated with helping children at Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, and Project Hope. With these two organizations we spend a great deal of our time and energy helping others.
Phi Mu was the first to create a National Philanthropy Day, which is on the third Monday in October. On this day, Phi Mu's participate in service projects around their communities.
Along with CMN, we also visit local hospitals and visit. We often get together to make door hangers, candy bags for halloween, and often read to the sick children.

In October, Theta Theta holds an annual fundraising event called Halloween Dance-a-thon. We hold this event every year at our school Student Center and charge $5 at the door for admission. Every dollar made goes straight to the Children's Miracle Network hospital wing in Columbus, Georgia.
