Welcome to AMSA!

Although AMSA is originally targeted towards medical and premed students, here at Columbus State Univerisity, our local mission is to inform, support, and provide leadership development for ALL our future health professionals attending CSU, whether you're pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-dentistry, nursing major, health science major, etc. As community activists, AMSA is also committed to improving the health status in the city of Columbus. Our efforts range from frequent community health screenings to fostering our city’s youth, and other various opportunities for volunteer ativities. These opportunities to get out there and become involved in the community help aid students prepare for a career in the health professions, as these students improve the standards of local health care. That is what AMSA is all about.

The American Medical Student Association is committed to improving health care and healthcare delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.
